  • Question Persuade Refer (QPR) Gatekeeper certification is a training designed to give everyday people the necessary skills to recognize and respond to suicide risks before becoming fatal.

  • YOU CAN! QPR Gatekeeper certification training is for everyone from health care providers, educators, front line workers, family, and other members of the community.

    • 1 year of active certification

    • Receive instruction from a licensed and board certified clinician with years of experience and a certified QPR Gatekeeper Instructor.

    • Can use training to apply towards professional development and continuing education per approval

    • Helps build confidence to have difficult conversations

    • Will receive additional education on other mental health challenges and self care

    • CAN HELP SAVE LIVES

  • Trainees will attend a 90–120 minute course taught by Dr. Hoskins that integrates evidence-based strategies and QPR training to help participants recognize warning signs, ask about suicide, and connect individuals to care.

    Successful completion yields Gatekeeper certification and uses the QPR Institute’s standardized curriculum to ensure fidelity to validated recognition, questioning, and referral protocols.

  • Courses will be conveniently scheduled based on the needs of the individuals, community, and/or organization.
